Suzhou Imperial Kiln Gold Brick Museum is located in Lumu town and celebrates a six hundred year old history in baking bricks which dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911). Bricks produced by the region's kilns were known as 'golden' on account of their glossy surface, strong durablility, and unrivalled quality. Huqiu, which translates as Tiger Hill, has a history dating back more than 2,500 years and is revered as the earliest attraction in the Wuzhong district of the city. At the top of the hill stands one of Suzhou’s great landmarks; the octagonal Huqiu Pagoda, a building with more than 1,000 years of history. The seven-floor tower reaches 47 meters in height and began its slow sideways tilt more than 400 years ago. [Photo from WeChat: suzhouvisit]
