Suzhou is a beautiful city where lots of distinguished scholars and experts come from, both in ancient China and modern times. As an old saying goes “Once upon a time there were students reading aloud in a room and their voices could be heard everywhere in the city.” And so, Suzhou is so focused on culture and learning it is a one-of-a-kind destination for educational travelers.

In addition, Suzhou is also known as “the City of Museums in the East”. If you’d like to experience the essence of Chinese Wu culture, the Suzhou museums will be a must-see on your to-do list. There are more than 20 museums in Suzhou, spanning opera, customs, stone inscription, embroidery, coin, silk, medicine and so on. No.3 Study the Art of War at its birthplace

Legend has it that it was in Qionglong Mountain that Sun Tzu composed the famous military book, the Art of War, of ancient China. Today, the Art of War is more than 2500 years old and you can climb the Qionglong Mountain to admire the statue of Sun Tzu as well as visit the thatched cottage where the masterpiece was created. Meanwhile, you can learn more about Sun Tzu and the Art of War through performances and quizzes. In addition, you can also share your opinions with all the other fans of the Art of War while drinking freshly made green tea.
